"Birthdays are nature's way of telling us to eat more cake."

irishmurr > We're beginning to think Maeve is going to be a girly girl -- she definitely loves her necklaces, sunglasses and (Lady Kate are you paying attention?) her tiara.

Thought I'd help you start your week with a smile. :-)

"You may be a princess or the richest woman in the world, but you cannot be more than a lady.”
    ~~ Jennie Jerome Churchill
irishmurr > It's October 5th and I'm just beginning to do my fall decorating? Where does the time go? (October 5, 2009)

"Procrastination is the art of keeping up with yesterday."
~~ Don Marquis
irishmurr > It's been a busy weekend with family and friends -- as you can tell from the fact that I'm just now posting my photo from yesterday, and today is almost over. Thought I'd leave you all with this photo of Johnny kissing his baby cousin Maeve before I hit the sack. Tomorrow is going to be busy too .... but I will try and catch up with you all soon! Enjoy your weekend -- that's what it's there for. :-)

"Spread love everywhere you go: first of all in your own house. Give love to your children, to your wife or husband, to a next door neighbor... Let no one ever come to you without leaving better and happier. Be the living expression of Gods kindness; kindness in your face, kindness in your eyes, kindness in your smile, kindness in your warm greeting."
   ~~ Mother Theresa
irishmurr > We're enjoying a few days of Indian Summer and it feels so good to be outside. (October 21, 2009)

"Bittersweet October. The mellow, messy, leaf-kicking, perfect pause between the opposing miseries of summer and winter."
    ~~ Carol Bishop Hipps
irishmurr > Maeve found the absolute perfect pumpkin in the pumpkin patch today. (October 20, 2009)

"The pursuit of perfection, then, is the pursuit of sweetness and light."
   ~~ Matthew Arnold

The last couple of days when I've gone to make comments on other photos, I found that many were in large format, all in a row -- and I didn't see a way to leave a comment. Are a lot of you changing the format of your galleries? Is it a smugmug thing? Is there a trick to leaving comments when the galleries are in that format? Am I missing something? .... which is entirely possible. :-)
irishmurr > When you're driving down the street in a 1950 Cadillac and come across a gas station like this -- of course you have to stop for a photo op! (August 3, 2009)

"Any man who can drive safely while kissing a pretty girl is simply not giving the kiss the attention it deserves."
   ~~ Albert Einstein
irishmurr > I'm sure you all know what's happening one week from today ..... and you know the Murrays will be enjoying a pint or two with loads of family and friends. ;-)

Here's a tidbit about this particular Great Lakes beer: the dashing gentleman pictured on the label is the grandfather of the Conway brothers, owners of the brewery. He was a Cleveland policeman, who came here from County Mayo. Perfect for their Irish ale, don't you think?

Slainte to all our friends here on Smugmug! (March 10, 2009)

"There are good ships,
and there are wood ships,
The ships that sail the sea.
But the best ships, are friendships,
And may they always be."
   ~~ Irish Toast
irishmurr > This brought a smile to my face -- hope it brings one to yours too. (January 12, 2009)

"One is never alone with a rubber duck."
   ~~ Douglas Adams
