irishmurr > Caught in the act -- Maeve likes grandma's flowers almost as much as grandma does. (August 25, 2009)

Sorry I haven't been able to comment the last day or so. I have hundreds of family photos that were taken this summer and which need to get posted. The natives are getting restless and if I don't get them done, they may find someone else to be family photographer ..... :-)

"Time is free, but it's priceless. You can't own it, but you can use it. You can't keep it, but you can spend it. Once you've lost it you can never get it back.”

irishmurr > What a day .....

We started out at our annual car show with the Cadillac club, for which Larry and I were Grand Marshalls. Someone found out it was our 25th anniversary and they gathered up photos of us from over the years and displayed them for all the world to see. Then, in the evening we had plans to go to dinner with friends -- except when we arrived at their house, there were about 50 family and friends there to surprise us. Whew! How do you pick one photo from a day like that? And this is one I didn't even take -- our son Chas took it of us cutting the cake (and yes, they made us feed it to each other too). I think we're done celebrating -- until our 50th anniversary rolls around. :-)

irishmurr > This past week has been all about Maeve, so today it was time to spend some quality time with the boys -- at the Rockin' R Ranch. (October 19, 2008)

irishmurr > We went to a pool tournament with our car club. Luckily, the people whose house it was at live on a beautiful lake and I was able to get out and take a few shots of the fall colors. (October 3, 2009)

"Everyone must take time to sit and watch the leaves turn."

irishmurr > Johnny the Photographer

I'm still working on photos from the wedding and couldn't decide which of these I liked best, so I made a little collage. This was the back-up photographer and he was actually letting Johnny take some photos (by pushing the button) and then showing him the finished product. Guess it won't be long before John William and I are out shooting together? (July 22, 2009)

"A good photograph is knowing where to stand."

irishmurr > We attended a wedding today and I couldn't help snapping this shot. (July 18, 2009)

irishmurr > Not the most scenic sunrise I've ever seen, but with single digit temperatures out there, I was happy enjoying it from the comfort (and warmth) of my livingroom. (January 25, 2009)

"Rise early. It is the early bird that catches the worm. Don't be fooled by this absurd saw; I once knew a man who tried it. He got up at sunrise and a horse bit him."
   ~~ Mark Twain
