irishmurr > It's snowing here again and as I was trying to come up with something interesting to shoot inside, my doorbell rang and these lovely flowers were delivered. John William, Michael and Mom sent them to Daideo and I, thanking us for all we do for them. What a surprise -- and aren't those the best kind of flowers to get?

This is straight from the camera. I thought they were so beautiful, no photoshopping was required -- plus, the fact that I'm really busy trying to get ready for Easter ...... ;-)

irishmurr > I'll warn you right now, my daily photos for this weekend are not going to involve any particular photographic ingenuity, because I'm just too darned busy with the holiday. Of course, I hope that the family snapshots I'm taking have improved over the year I've been part of this community -- which is something to strive for.

For instance, here we have Johnny having a grand old time, throwing Easter eggs at his brother. ;-)

irishmurr > The Murr-tini Family!

When Johnny was born fourteen months ago, it brought together two families -- the Albertini family and the Murray family -- and the fun hasn't stopped since! This weekend we had Uncle Jimmy's baseball game, Daideo's birthday, Greek Easter, Aunt Vicki's birthday and Johnny's first haircut ..... which might explain why I was MIA for a few days? "You don't choose your family. They are God's gift to you, as you are to them."
   ~~ Desmond Tutu
irishmurr > I didn't even pick up the camera today, so here's one from yesterday. My Mom came in to town over the holidays, for the first time in almost 15 years, which made it extra special for the whole family. This was her last night before heading back home, so she made sure to give Johnny lots of hugs and kisses, to get him through until next time she sees him. (December 28, 2007)

"Uncles and aunts, and cousins, are all very well, and fathers and mothers are not to be despised; but a grandmother, at holiday time, is worth them all."
   ~~ Fanny Fern
irishmurr > Can you tell where we live? (June 3, 2008)

"Moon over Parma, where those pink flamingos stand.
I need her kisses and the soft touch of her hand.
We’re goin bowlin, so don’t lose her in Solon.
Moon over Parma, tonight."
~~ Robert McGuire (as sung by Drew Carey)
irishmurr > I've gone wireless!

I'm 50 years old and just recently started shooting digital, got my first program to process photos .... and now this. I did today's daily in sepia because, even though I am forcing myself into all this new technology, I'm still basically "old school." ;-)

   ~~ Norman Vincent Peale
irishmurr > We went from 50 degree temperatures to temps in the 90s in a matter of days, but we managed to adapt! (June 8, 2008)

"Summer is the time when one sheds one's tensions with one's clothes, and the right kind of day is jeweled balm for the battered spirit. A few of those days and you can become drunk with the belief that all's right with the world.”
   ~~ Ada Louise Huxtable
irishmurr > Johnny's other grandma is Greek, and Trisha and Chas live only a couple of blocks away from the Greek Orthodox Church where a big festival was being held. So you know what that meant -- time for the Murrtini Clan to hit the Greek festival! The bicyclist is a neighbor, but the rest of the group is all ours. Definitely a fun time! (May 25, 2008)

"A happy family is but an earlier heaven."
   ~~ George Bernard Shaw
irishmurr > The boys of spring.

Johnny's uncle, Jim, plays baseball for our local high school so the family all went out to root the team on. No. 3 is our favorite player. ;-)
