“Damn the torpedoes! Full speed ahead!”
   ~~ Admiral David G. Farragut
irishmurr > Maeve turned six months old today, so we thought it was time for some naked baby shots. And you know there's a funny story to go with this photo shoot ...... of course:

Maeve likes to put her arms out like this -- whether she's laying on her tummy, sitting, whatever. Well, I wanted her hands in front of her for a shot and Photo Assistant Larry was on the j.o.b. I was all ready with the camera and grandpa would put Maeve's hands nicely in front of her, but the minute he let go , it was like they were on a spring. Boing! Here they were, and here they stayed. I think that's why we got this smile from Maeve Margaret -- she knew she'd gotten the best of us again. That, and the fact that we were laughing at her antics. (April 14, 2009)

irishmurr > Sunday was both Father's Day and the first day of summer. I already gave you a Father's Day shot, so today I'm giving you a slice o' summer. (June 22, 2009)

“Summer is the time when one sheds one's tensions with one's clothes, and the right kind of day is jeweled balm for the battered spirit. A few of those days and you can become drunk with the belief that all's right with the world.”
