We're so lucky to be able to celebrate Easter again, because this Sunday was the Greek Orthodox Easter. Throw in a couple of birthdays, and you have a real Murr-tini celebration!

We had an absolutely delicious meal, with some ham, potatoes, a wonderful Greek salad and Vicky's special green beans, which she made from a Greek recipe.   Yum Yum!  (April 27, 2008)

And then it was time for the Easter eggs!  This is a wonderful Greek tradition.  Each person takes an egg and challengers attempt to crack each others' eggs. The breaking of the eggs is meant to symbolize Christ breaking from the Tomb. The person whose egg lasts the longest is assured good luck for the rest of the year.  (April 27, 2008)
