irishmurr > Maeve is waving bye to all of you ... ssshhhh, don't tell her, but she's not going with us. :-) We were packing for a weekend getaway, plopped Maeve in the suitcase and she was ready to go. We're off to the Great Lakes Inter-Regional Meet of the Cadillac LaSalle Club -- so I imagine I'll be bringing back a Cadillac shot or two. I may check in with you all while the guys are talking automobiles and/or watching football -- or I may join them. Either way, hope you all have a great weekend! irishmurr > It's Oktoberfest time! Our son works for Great Lakes Brewery, which was competing in this year's beer tasting contest, so you know we were on hand for the festivities. I took lots of photos, but this is one of my favorites: some of the dancers getting ready to perform. irishmurr > I'd like to introduce Firefly and Ajax. We met them while taking a stroll in the park. They're greyhounds which were rescued -- and it's obvious that they're happy about that, as is their owner. They are definitely precious animals and it was a joy to meet them. In the evening, I noticed her birthday photo was number one, so I called next door and had her come over and check it out. I should've taken a photo of that smiling face to use as today's daily, because she was definitely grinning from ear to ear. So, thank you all!
