Larry got me flowers for my birthday and these squiggly things were in the arrangement. If I had the talent some of you have for pp, I probably could've made this more interesting. This was taken Saturday night, but since it was after midnight, it was technically taken on the 20th. :-) Greg got engaged on Saturday, which was exciting news for the family. irishmurr > Why is this man smiling? Because, after driving a bus for 33 years, he's done! A group of us got together to take that last ride with P. A. Larry. This is just a quick snapshot because the entire day was busy -- but I think it shows how happy my hubby was to say goodbye to this job. irishmurr > Thank you for the much-too-kind comments on yesterday's photo of Maeve and I with our boas and tiaras. :-) As many of you know, I'm just a busy grandma who enjoys photography as a hobby. There are plenty of days when I'm tired and not in the mood to pick up the camera, but when I browse through all the interesting and creative photos on the dailies, suddenly that all changes. So thank you for keeping me inspired, and for all of your suggestions and pointers. I started here for the photography, but stay for the wonderful friendships I've made along the way. I've met some of you, talked on the phone with others, kept in touch by e-mail, on facebook, or simply through our comments back and forth each day. So, to each of you, I give a very Big Thank You! This is definitely a special community and I'm so glad to be part of it.
